There are open positions in the Collier Research Group at the MASc and PhD level. Students can receive degrees in either Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering at UBC Okanagan under Dr. Collier’s supervision. The open positions are in the following areas:
Microfluidics for dairy applications. The Collier Research Group is developing microchip capillary electrophoresis (MCE) devices for antibiotic detection in dairy applications. The Collier Research Group is also developing digital microfluidic devices for this dairy application. Candidates should have a background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
Terahertz spectroscopy systems. The Collier Research Group is developing terahertz spectroscopy and spectral imaging systems. Candidates should have a background in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Physics.
